About MigrantMind Edu.

Turning Interest into Action

Here at MigrantMind Edu., we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, we are driven by the same ideas we initially based our Non-Profit Organization: support, empowerment, and progress.

Dealing with the challenges of today as more and more Hispanic individuals immigrate to the United States, requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. MigrantMind Edu. emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support this specific ic community of Hispanic immigrants based on a desire to create a stable and progressive support system.

One of our top priorities and ideas we based MigrantMind Edu. on was giving Hispanic immigrants we see struggling in our own neighborhood access to sources of support and information ranging from college workshops not only for students but also for parents, in addition to hearing first-hand stories from other immigrants who will have a chance to share advice and their own struggles and successes.

Key People

Jade Capellan - Founder

As a first-generation immigrant, one of my biggest struggles is the language and cultural barrier between me and my parents. Going into my senior year, I can see how my parents alike many other immigrants who do not have access to what the college process will look like for their child in a language they understand, have been struggling to fully understand and in other words support their child. Here at MirgantMind Edu. we are trying to break this constant lack of information.

This is a part of my life I am extremely passionate about, yes a child of Immigrant parents and because of this my life growing up was filled with struggles, however, am so much more than this, my parents are so much more than just immigrants. They deserve all the resources and information to teach them how to advance in the United States and succeed. This is why I chose to have guest speakers who are paralegals, teachers, and so much more at my workshops and town hall meetings.
